Tormaresca

Tormaresca Building The investment and vision of the Antinori family led to the founding of Tormaresca in 1998 in Italy’s Puglia region (the heel of the Italian “boot”). The Antinoris brought centuries of Tuscan winemaking experience to this Adriatic vineyard area, which the family considers one of the most promising regions in Italy for high quality wines with a strong regional identity.

Wine has been produced in Puglia for more than 3,000 years, and the area is known for several indigenous Italian grape varieties. These include Primitivo (a local clone of Zinfandel) and Negroamaro – both grown at Tormaresca’s Masseria Maime Estate – as well as Aglianico, which is grown at the winery’s Bocca di Lupo Estate and yields one of the most highly rated Tormaresca wines.
