Villa Mt. Eden
Villa Mt. Eden has been crafting distinctive wine since 1881 – one of the first bonded wineries in Napa Valley. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon are made of grapes from the best regions for each variety in California.
Shaping the winery’s artistic vision since 1982 is winemaker Mike McGrath (below). Mike’s adventurous spirit is a perfect complement to his love of classic winemaking techniques, a combination that has won the praise of critics and the hearts of consumers for 25 years. His vision takes him on the road in search of the finest vineyards for each variety he makes, from Napa to Santa Maria, and from Sonoma to Amador County. Mike’s dedicated approach to winemaking results in complex wines that are not only consistently enticing – rich, bold and well-balanced – but also good enough to earn five placements since 1996 on Wine Spectator magazine’s annual list of the “World’s 100 Most Exciting Wines.”
