Murray SAR Unit, Inc. K-9 Search and Rescue

Among those on hand when a Trail Gator was delivered in May 2003 to SAR Unit, Inc., a canine search and rescue agency based in Murray, NE, were a trio of its top dogs: (left to right) Labrador retrievers Ripley and Kevlar and a bloodhound named Webe. USSTC Division Manager Bill Lequire (in blue jacket) made the presentation to SAR Director C.J. Chelin. They were joined by (left to right) agency volunteers Bob Stier and Bill Worlein; USSTC Sales Representative Lynn Hagen; volunteer Carol Churchill; and SAR veterinarian Kathy Stevens. The K-9 unit will use the vehicle as a mobile command post and a means of transporting dogs, their handlers and equipment to hard-to-reach, off-road search sites in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas.
